Community Guidance for Mentor & Mentee
Purpose
Job Conquers aims to create an inclusive, supportive, and professional environment for mentors and mentees alike. Our community guidelines are designed to foster respect, integrity, and collaboration. By participating in Job Conquers, all members agree to adhere to these guidelines to ensure a positive and productive experience for everyone.
General Guidelines for All Members
1.Respect and Inclusivity:
- Treat everyone with respect, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, ability, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, or religion.
- Refrain from any form of discrimination, harassment, or offensive behaviour.
2.Confidentiality:
- Maintain the confidentiality of personal and professional information shared during mentoring sessions.
- Do not disclose any sensitive information without explicit consent from the involved parties.
3.Professional Conduct:
- Act with integrity and honesty in all interactions.
- Respect differing viewpoints and experiences.
- Avoid any behaviour that could be considered unprofessional or inappropriate.
4.Reporting and Feedback:
- Report any violations of these guidelines to Job Conquers administration.
- Provide constructive feedback to help improve the community and mentoring experience.
Specific Guidelines for Mentors
1.Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance, support, and insights based on your expertise and experience.
- Commit to scheduled mentoring sessions and provide timely responses to mentees.
- Maintain a professional and respectful demeanour in all interactions.
2.Confidentiality and Privacy:
- Respect the confidentiality of information shared by mentees.
- Do not disclose any personal or sensitive information about mentees without their consent.
3.Inclusivity and Respect:
- Create a safe and welcoming environment for all mentees.
- Avoid any form of discriminatory or harassing behaviour.
4.Use of AI and Technology:
- Do not use AI to impersonate others, post fake reviews, or create fake profiles.
- Disclose any use of AI in mentoring sessions and ensure its use is appropriate and transparent.
5.Personal and Professional Information:
- Do not reveal personal or professional information during mentoring sessions.
- If you choose to disclose such information, Job Conquers is not responsible for any consequences. The mentor will be solely responsible for any consequences of their actions.
6.Continuous Improvement:
- Be open to feedback and strive to improve your mentoring techniques and practices.
Specific Guidelines for Mentees
1.Active Participation:
- Engage actively in mentoring sessions and provide necessary information to mentors.
- Be open to constructive feedback and use it to improve your skills and career prospects.
2.Respect and Professionalism:
- Treat mentors and other community members with respect and professionalism.
- Adhere to scheduled mentoring sessions and notify mentors in advance if you need to reschedule.
3.Confidentiality and Privacy:
- Respect the confidentiality of information shared by mentors.
- Do not disclose any personal or sensitive information about mentors without their consent.
4.Inclusivity and Respect:
- Refrain from any discriminatory, offensive, or harassing behaviour.
- Contribute to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all community members.
5.Use of AI and Technology:
- Use AI and technology tools responsibly and transparently.
- Disclose any use of AI in your communication or interactions with mentors.
6.Consequences of Misconduct
- Violations of these community guidelines may result in temporary suspension or permanent removal from the Job Conquers platform, depending on the severity and recurrence of the offense.
7.Governing Law
- These guidelines shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Karnataka, India.
