Job Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a strategy for data security technologyIdentify and document requirements for new data security toolsContribute to proofs of concept or pilots while taking an active part in developing success criteriaIdentify friction points where global services do not meet local requirements and work with key partners to develop solutionsWork with IT and Enterprise Architecture teams to ensure that data security requirements are included in project methodologiesServe as technical expert on key data management and data security programs and projectsIntegrate data security controls into the SDLC process and DevSecOps pipelinesIdentify trends in data security including regulatory requirementsIdentify opportunities to rationalize or remove friction from existing data-related processesProvide leadership with information needed for decision makingProvide thought leadership to data-related standards and policiesReview and provide guidance to technical designs that have data security implicaiton

Skills/Competencies Required

Should have prior experience working in the data security space.Should have experience working with multiple data security tools out of the following list: DLP, Data Security Posture Management, data scanning, and identification tools, tagging tools, logging platforms, encryption, records management, secure destruction, backup and recovery platforms, and tokenization or anonymization tools.Experience working with a global team and liaising with both IT and non-IT colleagues.Ability to build cross functional relationships and identify opportunities for mutual benefitComfortable presenting management information/reporting to senior managementPrevious experience in a regulated financial services environmentPrevious experience of working with outsourced service providersExperience authoring requirements for technical toolingExcellent knowledge of data, information and records management processes and policiesSecurity certifications are nice to have but not required

Education

BA/BS degree or international equivalent in a relevant subject or equivalent work experience.
