Terms and Conditions for Mentors

1.Purpose:

  • Job Conquer is committed to providing a friendly, safe, and welcoming environment for all, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, ability, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, and religion (or lack thereof).
  • This code of conduct outlines our expectations for all mentors and the consequences for unacceptable behavior.
  • We invite all mentors to help us create safe and positive experiences for everyone.

2.Eligibility and Qualifications:

  • Mentors must possess relevant industry experience and expertise in their field of mentoring.
  • They should have a track record of professional success and/or relevant certifications where applicable.

3.Role and Responsibilities:

  • Mentors are responsible for guiding job seekers based on their expertise and experience.
  • They must provide advice, support, and insights related to job search strategies, interview preparation, career development, etc.
  • Mentors should maintain professionalism and adhere to ethical standards in their interactions with job seekers.

4.Confidentiality and Privacy:

  • Mentors must respect the confidentiality of job seekers’ information shared during mentoring sessions.
  • They should not disclose any personal or sensitive information shared by the job seekers.

5.Commitment and Availability:

  • Mentors should commit to providing timely responses and guidance to job seekers.
  • They are expected to be available for scheduled mentoring sessions as agreed upon with the job seekers.

6.Code of Conduct:

  • Mentors must conduct themselves in a respectful and professional manner at all times.
  • They should refrain from discriminatory, offensive, or inappropriate behavior during mentoring sessions.
  • Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and speech.
  • Be mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow participants. Alert the staff if you notice a dangerous situation, someone in distress, or violations of this Code of Conduct, even if they seem inconsequential.
  • Cultivate a network of honesty, support, and encouragement for each other.
  • Be respectful of differing viewpoints and experiences.
  • Gracefully accept constructive criticism.

7.Unacceptable Behavior:

  • Violence, threats of violence, or violent language directed against another person.
  • Sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, or otherwise discriminatory jokes and language.
  • Posting or displaying sexually explicit or violent material.
  • Posting or threatening to post other people’s personally identifying information (“doxing”).
  • Personal insults, particularly those related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, or disability.
  • Unwelcome sexual attention, including sexualized comments or jokes.
  • Sustained disruption of the community and community events.
  • Deceiving behavior, such as posting fake reviews, misrepresenting your experience, or acting under a pseudonym.
  • Other conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting.
  • Advocating for or encouraging any of the above behaviors.

8.Unacceptable Use of AI:

  • Using AI to impersonate another human – be it another mentor, another professional, using it to post fake reviews as a mentee, or to create fake profiles.
  • Utilizing AI outputs verbatim in your communication with mentees, without disclosing that you are using AI.
  • Excessive use of AI as part of your mentorship program, without the usage of any proprietary tools, datasets, or models.
  • Use of AI to generate content published through Job Conquer.

9.Personal and Professional Information:

  • Mentors must not reveal any personal or professional information during mentoring sessions.
  • If a mentor discloses such information, Job Conquer is not responsible for any consequences that may arise from such disclosure. The mentor will be solely responsible for any consequences of their actions.

10.Feedback and Improvement:

  • Mentors should be open to receiving feedback from job seekers and the website administrators to improve their mentoring services.
  • Continuous improvement in mentoring techniques and practices is encouraged.

11.Termination of Services:

  • The website reserves the right to terminate the mentor’s services in case of misconduct, breach of confidentiality, or any violation of the terms and conditions.

12.Intellectual Property:

  • Any materials or resources provided by mentors during mentoring sessions should not infringe upon any intellectual property rights.
  • Mentors retain the intellectual property rights to their own materials unless otherwise agreed upon.

13.Payment and Compensation:

  • Mentors may receive compensation for their services as per the terms agreed upon with Job Conquer.
  • Payment terms and conditions will be specified separately in the mentor agreement.

14.Modification of Terms:

  • Job Conquer reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Mentors will be notified of any changes.

15.Governing Law:

  • These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Karnataka.

16.Consequences:

  • Failing to follow the community guidelines as described in this document carries consequences. For minor infractions, you may be temporarily suspended from the platform. Upon repeat offenses, or if the community believes you are not acting in good faith, you may be asked to leave permanently.

17.Reporting:

  • If you are subject to or witness unacceptable behavior, or have any other concerns, please notify a community organizer as soon as possible, using the report form or by writing to customercare@jobconquers.com .
  • If you feel you have been falsely or unfairly accused of violating this Code of Conduct, you should notify customercare@jobconquers.com with a concise description of your grievance.
